After arriving in Fontainebleau, we spent the following morning at the market, checking out the fresh cheeses, meats, fruits, and lots of other sumptuous products. We bought strawberries and peaches to eat during our stroll.
Then, across the street, we took a stroll near the Palais de Fontainebleau.
As mid-morning approached, we took a break and enjoyed some coffee and lemonade on a streetside cafe:
Finally, it was time to do some chores. After nearly two weeks' travel for eight people, we had built up some serious laundry. Luckily, down the street from our hotel (Hotel Aigle Noir), there was a really clean laundromat where we washed an entire suitcase full of laundry. We then stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few supplies for Friday night's dinner.
Before going home, we stopped by to check out the church where the wedding was to be held. It was beautiful and centuries old, in the nearby town of Fericy.
It's worth showing a photo, too, of the nine passenger van that we rented to ferry us around!
Once we arrived in Machault, one of the first things we got to enjoy was a bona fide cup of English tea! Wyatt enjoyed his...

For the wedding eve salad, Tessa and Serena helped harvest some lettuce and other ingredients from Grandpa's beautiful garden, and Addy made some awesome dressing.
Finally, we were thrilled to see Audrey (Suzanne's mum) arrive with sister Stephanie and George.

After a long day, Wyatt was knocked out on the couch!
