Day 14: Wedding Day!

Saturday was the big day, and the church was ready, thanks to the hard work of Suzanne and the bridesmaids...

The ceremony was beautiful, in both French and English, and featured a bagpiper to open and close the procession. Wyatt somehow managed to fall asleep in the pew and snore loudly enough to attract the attention of the wedding photographer -- we'll be sure to post that shot when we get it.

While pictures were disallowed during the actual ceremony, once that was complete, the crowds gathered outside the church to receive Simon and Caroline...

Yes, it was kilt day! The '76 MG was fueled and ready after its long trip from Edinburgh.

Audrey awaits Simon and Carolyn...

As do Emma and Addy...

And they arrive!

Proud papa...

And mum!

Immediate family.

And that, as they say, was that... off to the reception at L'Orangerie.

Here's a shot overlooking the reception location, L'Orangerie:

While I put the camera away for awhile, that didn't mean the action stopped... we didn't get to sleep until after 3am that morning. It was a great celebration and cap to a wonderful day.
