Sheetrock!

We stopped by the house last night just to see if anything was new and boy, were we shocked -- they had hung drywall through nearly the entire house!  It gives it quite a different feel to go from framed to sheetrock and you really get a sense for how it's going to feel once completed.

First, they put some nice curves on the garage doors...

Here's the view walking in from the breezeway connecting to the garage:

Now, further down the hall to the stairs:

The sheetrock really contrasts with the old beams we put in.

Master bedroom (this is the old fireplace/chimney that used to be on the outside of the house):

Looking back down the hallway...

My office.  Kind of plain at the moment. :)

Upstairs landing area at the top of the stairs.

The front wall is taking shape.

The great room, again.

The garage goes up and some more progress...

It took awhile, but the permits for the garage got approved and the builder moved quickly.  Here, you can see the concrete that's been freshly poured.  I don't know why everyone in the family felt it was so important to walk on it to "see" if it was dry!!

Here's the flagstone on the back porch.

This is where the pergola is going.

View from the garage.

The exterior of the house is coming together.  Still waiting on the front door to arrive.

Framing the garage...

Roof goes on!
